Wole Soyinka, Nigerian poet, novelist, playwright and essayist, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986. He gave the commencement address at the 2014 Graduate Commencement Exercises, drawing on lessons of history, colonialism, and humanity’s eternal search for knowledge.
